New York Haul Look 4.

And here we have our fourth and final New York Haul look. I am honestly quite sad about that this is over, but it is also exciting because now I can bring in some new and exciting content. I decided to make this look the final one because it was a good mix of the last two- with the hoop mini skirt and the striped crop top (which by the way I have been wearing nonstop- definitely a favourite of the month). I now realize that this is a truly "Urban Outfitters" outfit because everything but the shoes are from it! Oops, oh well, they all look great together which makes sense. Everyday I'm realizing more and more that these Vans literally go with any look, and now understand why every fashion and beauty blogger has them. This wicked shiny moto jacket is a mix between pleather/PU/fake reptile, and I absolutely adore it. It is a statement piece that amps up any look, and I realize now that it really resembles Jenn Im's Truck Along Crop Jacket from her clothing brand Eggie- which was a total coincidence and I still really want to cop some things from her website but I haven't had the chance yet!

New York Haul Look 3.

What I like most about this look is that it's so outside my norm. My sister found this lovely blouse for me from Buffalo Exchange, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I've never seen a blouse like it, and it adds such a unique twist to an otherwise "basic" piece- the white blouse. The skirt was a lucky find at Urban Outfitters. Just like the outlined profile on the blouse's buttons, the metal hoop on this black mini skirt makes it that much more interesting, and upgrades the look to something a bit more.. provocative?

This blouse and skirt combo reminds my mother and I what she used to wear in the 80's when she was attending Emily Carr University (a bit before I came along). I can't wait to style these two pieces with more from my closet. These two pieces make me think of what Chriselle Lim always advises, about finding updated looks with unique twists to otherwise classics to elevate your style. And considering Chriselle Lim is a fashion and business genius, I will definitely take her word for it.

New York Haul Look 2.

Here is my second look for my New York Haul and I'm obsessed. I honestly feel like the English singer Dua Lipa, which is never ever a bad thing (specifically her Lost in Your Light music video- check it out, link at the top of this post). I got the top from an Urban Outfitters, and I got this Nike windbreaker from the thrift store Buffalo Exchange. Threw on my Steve Madden platform sneakers I got in New York as well and called it a day.

I love how the red from the crop top plays with the red Nike logo, I think it adds subtle cohesiveness to this overall chill, casual sporty street style look.

New York Haul Look 1.

I am proud to say that, after losing all four shoots with the loss of my phone, I have finally completed re-shooting them all for my New York Haul Looks. As I have mentioned before, I went to New York at the end of August before my semester started. I went shopping and, of course, did lots of thrifting. I went a little ham, and ended up with approximately 4 looks that work together and, of course, will be amazing additions to my closet. I sorted them into four outfits to show each piece off, and show how they can be styled together. Every second day I will upload a new look, and thus will be my mini series- my New York Haul. Be sure to check back in and check them out!

Here we have our look numero uno. I bought these wicked thigh high books at a popular thrift store in New York called Buffalo Exchange. I also got my new favourite jacket there- this black denim one. The long, loose t-shirt is from another second hand store in New York that we visited. This look is giving me "Yeezy on one hell of a budget" vibes. Throwing on this lace-up choker choker completed the look for me. To me, this outfit will be perfect for when I want to go out in the winter time, and I don't want to be cold, but I still want to feel like I'm sort of stunting.

These thigh highs are the closest I have ever found to fitting my legs. As soon as I tried them on and saw that they stay up on their own, I knew I had to get them.
