Lindsay Photoshoot 1.

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of shooting with someone I met through SFU's Communications program, who is a talented artist and photographer. Her name is Lindsay Wu, she is a recent graduate, and you can find her Instagram @lindswu and her website can be found here

She came to me wanting to photograph a lookbook that consisted of 3-4 outfits that varied in style, depending on the specific locations she had sought out, and styling outfits accordingly.  All the photos were taken in Vancouver's Gastown.

This here is the first outfit, specially selected for the vibrant graffiti-covered alleyways that can be found throughout Gastown. Because I knew the walls would be a cacophony of colour, I kept the outfit simple with my staple thrifted red t-shirt, and paired it with my new Forever 21 Wallet Chain Wide-Leg Jeans that came with a (surprisingly heavy) silver chain. To add some height, I threw on my Current Mood Franky's, and kept it at that.

Overall, I had a wonderful day with Lindsay. She was wonderful to work with and I would recommend anyone looking for a photographer in the Vancouver Lower Mainland area, to check her out. We still have 2 more outfits from this day, so be sure come back in the next few days to see! Her photography skills are exquisite and I am so excited to share more of her work!

Polished in Purple

Earlier this week I had a lovely day with a fellow blogger, Sofia Tay, and we shot each other's outfits. This look is almost completely thrifted, except for the shoes. These pants have been my most significant second hand purchase recently, and I'm over the moon with them. Their elastic waistline, and soft flowy material makes them insanely comfortable, but the front tie and smart checkered pattern keeps them looking polished. There are unfortunately zero tags in these pants, which makes me think that they were made by hand. This beautiful cashmere-resembling top is thrifted as well, and the tag is unrecognizable to me. Paired with simple silver chains, and my beautiful nude mules that I purchased in Bangkok several years ago by Akata Shoes. All together it was a lovely day, and we gathered some lovely shots! Enjoy!

FRIDAY

You did it! It's finally Friday. The first Friday of the semester often leads to some bar hopping, and some drinks. Be prepared for that by putting on a no-fuss dress, and some comfy sneakers. You can easily transition from lecture to lagers.

Here's my Friday Look:

This dress is thrifted, with unfortunately no distinguishing tags. But I loved the body con fit, wit the longer hemline and long sleeves. It makes it feel more day-time and school appropriate, while still showing off a bit of your summer body. I made the look more casual with my trusty Old Skool Vans, and threw on my Matt & Nat Brave Backpack. Syllabus week was great and all, but now it's time to really celebrate.
